Who are you?

So in a nutshell who am I?  I am who I am.  I say that more often then not.  Grew up in California.  Lived in Oxnard,  Monterey,  Pleasant Hill,  Sausalito, San Raphael,  Mill Valley,  Auburn,  Grass Valley,  Coalinga,  Porterville,  and Shaver Lake.  Called Huntington Beach,  Cayucos,  and Morro Bay home as well.  Lived in a big house with 4 bedrooms,  2 car garage and even in a campground in a pop up trailer that was cramped and cold.

Many stories and for those that care to read future posts I'm sure I will bring up those years and the times that I had.

I moved from California to Illinois 17 years ago.  Few years shy now of that half way point.  I graduated high school,  college and have been married,  divorced,  and am a proud member of the fatherhood club.

Have worked as a dishwasher, for a family newspaper,  law enforcement officer,  and as of late is the IT field.

I enjoy people watching. Just sitting and looking at the different emotions and reactions of every day things.  Be it traffic,  seeing a favorite band,  or just sitting and staring off into the distance.

I'm tattooed every one a different part of the story marking a moment in time.  I've always seen life as moments.  We have our futures,  our pasts,  and what is happening now.  I personally try and capture the moments as best I can.  Live that moment for what it is.  My first kiss,  my sons first day of school,  the train rides to visit my father,  the moments both good and bad with my mother,  my trip across the country, and so many more to name.

I look forward to tomorrow's moments,  next year's,  and even ten years from now. Those past moments are just those.  Each one defining who we are now.  Can we recapture them?  Will they be the same?  I tend to wonder about the future moments asking myself what will the next one be? What will I see next. What will tomorrow bring.

I know what I would like...
